Self Closing Hinges looks just like any other hinge, but just the barrel is larger as that is where the tension spring is placed.
When replacing your normal hinge with these new ones always replace one at a time, so that you don’t have to remove the whole door.
So you remove the top old hinge and replace it with the SCH and once that is secured you do the same with the bottom one.
Now you have replaced the old hinges with new ones but always remember to adjust the tension with a hexagon tool, supplied with hinge, and turn either way until you get the tension you require.
To prevent the door from slamming loudly, just add a piece of felt at the top and bottom of the door jack and knock plate.
This will prevent any loud noises or bangs.
