This is a great way to see what similar items have sold for in the past. It can give you a good idea of what to expect to pay for the thing you’re interested in, as well as give you an idea of how much competition there is for that particular item.
Bid early and often.
Online auctions typically have a “proxy bidding” system, which means that your bid is automatically increased up to your maximum bid amount whenever another bidder outbids you. This ensures that you don’t lose the item you’re interested in, someone willing to pay more than you are.
